CAHS Senior Raj Pabari was awarded the prestigious $10,000 Kyoto Prize Scholarship. Six San Diego and Baja students were selected based on their essays about the 2021 Kyoto Prize laureate and how he inspired their life, study, and career plans. The laureate's essays are awarded in the categories of advanced technology, basic sciences, and arts and philosophy. Pabari wrote about the work of Andrew Chi-Chih Yao and his inspiration in advanced technology. "I see my future innovating with computers to build a better world," said Pabari, "I come alive when discussing the potential of world-changing technologies with other passionate individuals," Pabari will be recognized at the Kyoto Prize Symposium Opening Ceremony and Gala on March 30, 2022, and March 31, 2022.
