Classical Academy High School (CAHS) Junior Cole Solomonsen placed second in the annual San Diego Brain Bee at UCSD in early February. Over 35 participants competed to showcase their knowledge of the human brain in both written and verbal rounds of competition. The Brain Bee program stimulates high school students to learn about neuroscience. Cole's teacher and Academic League coach, Sarah Mills, nominated Cole after becoming aware of his aptitude and interest in math and science.
