Classical Academy Students Place in Polo Competition

December 6, 2023

Classical Academy Middle and High School students Tessa McCready, Bethel Lutz, and Jacob Lutz represented Poway Polo, competing at the Pacific Coast Arena League (PCAL) tournament of the United States Polo Association (USPA) in October. Forty-eight players from Southern California competed during the 3-day tournament. Tessa McCready was awarded the Most Valuable Player and the Best Playing Pony Award, Bethel Lutz won the Sportsmanship Award, and Jacob Lutz won the Most Improved Player award. All three students represented Poway Polo in late October at the Los Osos interscholastic and intercollegiate (I/I) tournament. Many polo students will advance their studies by receiving college scholarships to compete at the Intercollegiate level. Those interested in joining the Poway Polo Club can visit here.
