Classical Academy swimmer sets IM record in CIF prelims

Classical Academy High School senior Braden Guzman made history at the CIF San Diego Section Division 2 prelims, breaking two CIF records in dominant fashion. Guzman set a new record in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:47.93, surpassing the previous mark of 1:47.96 set by Logan Noguchi of Torrey Pines in 2013. He also claimed a new CIF record in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 55.33 and breaking the 2025 record of 55.45 set by Ryan Cormac of Cathedral Catholic. The standout performance cements Guzman among the top swimmers in the section.
