Congratulations to Coastal Academy High School (CAH) senior David Shively for being recognized as a Rising Star by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. Over 50 community members gathered to recognize the four Rising Star recipients at the El Camino Country Club recently. “David has faced a variety of social-emotional obstacles and has overcome them through perseverance and grit,” stated CAH Principal Samantha Bartrom, “David is a determined, focused young man whom we are proud to call a Stingray!” David has a 3.97 cumulative GPA and has future aspirations to become a marine biologist.
