Coastal Academy High School (CAH) honored senior Hunter Pochop as a Rising Star. Hunter was selected for his tenacity, determination, and inspiring others. During Hunter’s first year of life, he required multiple surgeries. His medical history includes a diagnosis of spina bifida, Chiari II Malformation, Scoliosis, Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome, and others. Despite these medical challenges, Hunter surfs competitively, skates, and plays sled hockey. Hunter will also compete in the Paralympics in Los Angeles in 2028, proving he can overcome challenges and succeed! After graduation, Hunter plans to attend Palomar College and study computer science or gaming.
