Classical Academy Middle School (CAMS) eighth-grade student Shakti Solomon was crowned Miss Teen Escondido 2026 at the annual pageant held April 23rd at the Ritz Theater in Escondido. Solomon competed in the Teen division, participating in interviews, public speaking, a choreographed dance performance, and formal wear presentations. Contestants were also evaluated on confidence, poise, and community involvement. Preparing for the competition, Solomon trained weekly for several months, developing skills in public speaking, stage presence, and leadership. During the event, she also highlighted the Above and Beyond Award she received at CAMS. Solomon said the experience helped her grow in confidence and encouraged her to step outside of her comfort zone.
