Middle school students from The Classical Academies Escondido campuses recently attended an immersive field trip at Palomar Medical Center Escondido, where they participated in the Middle School M.D. program. During the visit, they practiced real-world medical skills such as splinting, CPR, and tourniquet use, and explored how robotics and technology are transforming hospital laboratories. The Middle School M.D. program connects Palomar Health doctors, nurses, and staff with middle school students to equip them with life-saving knowledge and inspire interest in diverse healthcare careers. Partnerships like this provide authentic, hands-on learning experiences and the chance to engage directly with professionals in the field.
