Coastal Academy eighth-grader Jayson Bordges is earning recognition for his piano talents. Jayson recently placed second in the Nocturne category at the MTAC San Diego 8th Annual Chopin Festival, which brought together more than 100 young musicians to perform works celebrating 19th-century composer Frédéric Chopin. The honor follows several other accomplishments for Jayson this year. He placed third in his division at the MTAC San Diego Concerto Competition and advanced to the state finals after competing at the Southern California Junior Bach Festival regional competition.
